I think you should be just a little more patient?
I just got home from work and have now allowed one of my hosts to accept new Asteroid tasks and I got loads of CPU tasks, (but no GPU tasks right now).
So, maybe you should just leave it to download tasks while maybe crunching a backup project (which has been set with a zero resource share, so Asteroid tasks will download as a priority when your host does eventually connect to their server?)
HOWEVER: I have noticed that the FB Sprint #12 web page has no results yet (last update was at 5pm UTC) and the Asteroids website is running VERY slowly (if you can connect at all !)
