Not sure where you're getting your info but SPT has had a continuous supply of work for over a year now, and has been more reliable than a lot of other projects like TN-Grid, CPDN, Rosetta and WCG among others.
Perhaps you should be checking their actual server status page; https://boinc.termit.me/adsl/server_status.php.

Thanks for the infoi.
I was looking at the Grafana pages but as wbiz mentioned, they can't be guaranteed to be accurate.
And I've tried to log onto the SPT website (today) and it's not responding - it just times out and there's no index page shown...
So, I'll take a further look at it and if it looks more promising over the next few days, I'll see about including it in the Marathon.

HiyaUBT - wbiz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 3:12 pm Grafana looks like it has a problem with SPT, it has had tasks available every time I checked in, it has plenty of tasks now and had plenty of tasks on 1st January which didn't appear on Grafana but are on Free-DC and BG.
Thanks for the info.
OK - So, I'll have to bookmark the Free-DC stats pages (as well as Grafana and Boinc Stats that I already monitor), though the latter does not display SPT at all (as of today).

Willy doesn't want to add any Russia-based projects to Boincstats due to the Ukraine situation.
It's been discussed there that science doesn't have anything to do with the war, but he stands by his decision.

It seems strange (and a bit hypocritical) that Willy will not list *some* Russian projects, but he is happy to list the Russian Federation (and Belarus) team credits. And he is happy to list Gerasim, ODLK, ODLK1, SiDock projects...which have Russian links.
https://www.boincstats.com/stats/-1/tea ... Federation
Given that the Russian projects are very unlikely to be "controlled" by the Russian state, the same could be said for the many Russian/Belarussian people who are running BOINC - and yet individuals from these countries are listed.
Ultimately, it is down to individuals choice as to which project they want to process tasks for...as it should be...but listing some projects and not listing others seems to be rather vindictive.

Re: Marathon 2025
It was his decision to not add new Russia-based projects, not to purge all pre-existing Russia-linked data from BS.
But at the end of the day, BS is his product and so he gets the final say in this.
And I'm certainly not trying to re-open this discussion over here, it's been discussed extensively over at the BS forum.
Besides - Willy's got other fish to fry now.

Yes, I now understand this (as I was not following any BS forum discussions) and yes, it is HIS decision.
Sadly, he does and I sincerely hope that however much time he has left, is spent in a happy and caring environment and I certainly do not want to "stir up" any criticisms now.

Tim, could we add the new Math project from Natalia ODLK2025 to the list of projects?

Thanks for the suggestion.
I do have a problem with adding this project for now, as currently, I cannot add this to BOINC Manager, as I get an error:
"Failed to add Project
Please try again later"
So, if I have an issue, then maybe some others also have a problem?
I will post a report on their message board and see if there is a capacity issue that is preventing new hosts from joining.
regards
Tim
Re: Marathon 2025
I agree. Eventually I was able to join the project but I couldn't do it via the web site but I did join through BOINC Manager.
