Hi all

As you might have read in Sebastiens posting (here: viewtopic.php?t=369 ), as well as there being one (or more) leagues for "Teams", there will also be a "Members" league, so that individual members will be listed based on:

a) their individual BOINC credits (compared to all other FB members)
as well as
b) their contribution to their specific Team

So, these extra "user rankings" can be thought of as being like a "Drivers Championship" in Formula One.

But: you do NEED to register to join the "Members" league, which you can do here:

and use the "Send a private message" link, (from one of your BOINC accounts, so you need to be logged in to a project account), to advise Sebastien that you want to be included in the "Members" league.

(Just quote in your message "Please include me in the Members league for 2023" or something similar).

So, please visit the above page and join up and SOON...and so by the end of 2023, we can have our first "Individual Champion" !!

(Please note: Your stats will only be collected about 1-2 days AFTER you register - to allow time for Sebastien to add the relevant account information to the stats collection process - so, the sooner you join, the more credits will be counted).

(Please also note: collection of the stats for both the Team Marathon and the Members league will start as of 1st January 2023 - and please note that the only stats that will be collected are those from the named Marathon projects - while the 1st Sprint will be on 5th March 2023. So, the sooner you join, the sooner your credit data will begin to be compiled once the new year starts.

1) If I have given the incorrect Team name above, please let me know ! And YES you CAN be in different teams on different projects...but your FB points may change if you SWAP teams, so it is better to stay "fixed" to each team on each project.

2) These are members official "BOINC usernames" and hence might not be the same as "usernames" used on this forum.

Hi all

A point of clarification:

Individual members generate BOINC credits for their team, which are then combined with other team members BOINC credits and tabulated into a league table for each team and each team is awarded FB points based on the Teams league position (as well as any FB points earned on Sprints).

This is how these has calculated for some time - Teams earn FB points based on the sum of BOINC credits generated by their members.

So, the Team leagues and Members leagues are based on the BOINC credits earned by the FB Teams (from all of their members) and by the FB Team members.

Credits earned by members within the teams themselves are treated slightly differently though.

In this case, *individual* members also earn FB points based on the number of BOINC credits they earn (and hence their relative placing with their registered team) during the year, for each project. But these are "different" FB points and are NOT included as part of the team total - they are only used for the Members league to show the relative performance of each member on each project.

For instance, in my teams (UBT) case, the team has earned the sum total of 43 FB points so far, due to the teams relative performance compared to all the other FB teams across all of the FB projects.

However, in the "individual members of each team" league, I have "earned" 75 FB points so far (as having #1 position in each project, for my team, earns 25 FB points for each of the 3 projects on which I am active) - but these FB points are NOT included as part of the teams total - they are just for showing how well each member has performed compared to all of the registered compatriots in the SAME team.

UPDATE: 11th Jan 2023
See this example for my account - I now have 525 FB points as I am in 1st place (due to no other members of my team registerng here on FB), in 21 projects and hence earning 25 FB points for each 1st place - if other members of UBT joined then this might be different:

This will appear under your forum username on every post you make here.

So, this is just a "recognition" and "appreciation" that you have joined up and that you are supporting FB for this year.

Thanks for the message and flicitations

I only know the "Team" by looking up your BOINC username on BOINCstats - hence if I am unsure, I just put the "??".

But I will correct my listing above now - note: my list is only based (initially) on my "intuition" and has nothing to do with the "FB registration process"

. Only after your BOINC account has been validated by Sebastien and credits are earned, can I see which team you are a member of.

Hi all

There are just 12 days to go, for Team and Member registrations for this years Fomula BOINC Marathons and Sprint.

So, please ask your team founder (if it is not you) and your team mates to register (see link in 1st post above) so that you and/or your team can have all the BOINC credits earned this year, integrated within the Formula BOINC league tables.

And you and/or your team might be in 1st position when the FB "season" ends on 31st December 2023.
