The 1st Sprint of 2022 should be announced on 17th March at approx 20:00 (UTC).

(The same date and time as when the Sprint starts officially).

Yup - I keep hitting F5 to refresh the screen...and it hasn't been "announced" yet (as of 8:05pm UTC)

Just have to be patient I guess...

The new system of FB is nice. more easy to manage for 'God' "Seb"
I will be surprised of the choice. about 50ù of project are unable to support a sprint.(ODLK, ODLK1, LatinSquare, Gerasim (all russian team)
Then GPUGrid,...
But there are still candidate !!! If I good remember, latest year, the "master" of FB should take fcontact with admin of each project about sprint.
Nice idea. But now ???

The "rules" for voting for the 2022 Sprint projects, and as written by Sebastien, are as follows:

Step 1 : Two weeks before the sprint starts, the projects are ordered randomly.
Step 2 : The sprint committee members can approve or disapprove the projects until five days before the sprint starts.
Step 3 : The three first projects which have been approved twice or more are preselected. The FB Administrator (Sebastien) choose randomly a project between the preselected projects.
Step 4 : The FB adminstrator alerts the project administrator. If the project administrator declines, the project is removed from list and let's back to step 3.

I know that 4 projects have been "nominated" - and Sebastien must choose one of these and then this should be displayed on the FB "stats" page(s).

I assume this is "automated" and timed to be announced on the pre-selected day and time as shownh here:

I know that "davidBAM1" suggested that specific idea (link below):

but to my knowledge I do not think it was formally "adopted"?...but a lot of ideas were "suggested" in that topic from many people...and I am unaware of a "final" set of "new" plans/ideas that have been put into practice (over and above any rules that were already in place).

But I could be wrong on this...so, I will ask Sebastien to confirm if anything has changed (and hopefully he will reply promptly).

I submit some changes for 2022:
Only teams registered could participate to FB. A dedicated page will be created.
Only team founders could register their teams.
From January to March, there could be only one league. At the end of March, after 3 months of marathon and 2 sprints, 2 or more leagues could be created.
There could be 3 rankings:
marathon
sprint
general (marathon + sprint)
The sprint project could be announced at the start
For sprints, points could be granted each day. Sprint points could be the average of points earned each days. For example
Team A
1st day : Ranking #5 =>10 points
2nd day : Ranking #5 => 10 points
3rd day : Ranking #1 => 25 points
Sprint points : (10 + 10 +25)/3 => 15 points
Team B
1st day : Ranking #1 => 25 points
2nd day : Ranking #1 => 25 points
3rd day : Ranking #2 => 18 points
Sprint points : (25+25+18)/3 => 23 points
