Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected
Hi all, sorry to hear about lots of issues with WCG. Sadly it's appeared to be regular since the exodus of IBM. But I will be still happy to have this one in the projecs list, otherwise we would be crunching only number fileds, number sieve, number numbers and so on. Math is really boring when there...

Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected
Hopefully, this did not affect too many FB Teams or Members with their crunching ! It has affected some hosts due to a somewhat ridiculous behaviour of BOINC client. It thinks that there's no need to update a project if tasks are not available for some time. But hopefully it will not affect final s...

Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected
Hi everybody, that was a tight battle and I've enjoyed every day of it. One of the best sprints so far! Tim, you can try to get in touch with TigerLily on WCG Forums. That's a spokesperson for a whole team, so it would be nice to arrange some communication for the future. Emails are known to be work...

Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected
Everything goes well so far. Mostly ) Some issues are still possible for new users since WCG website unable to login anyone once again. Last time this was fixed only in two weeks. New crunching hosts also are limited to a bunker size due to a 'trust' algorythm by WCG, I suppose. Anyway, shouldn't th...

Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected
What a surprise. A good one in terms of a project selection. And a bit poor one in technical terms. They have just solved big issues with a work unit generation (or distribution) this year and the project runs smoothly for a couple of months. Surely a sprint would be a next step for stress-testing W...

Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected
That makes us successful at stress-testing Asteroids@home. Thanks, Tim!
I'll think of it from a positive perspective: FB and its participants are doing a great job even if the event wasn't 100% perfect
Greatful to be a part of it.

Re: Sprints 2024 - timetable and projects selected

Re: Projects for 2024
I think tactical 'bunkering' makes a lot of fun with strategy variations only for events like BOINC Pentathlon. The idea of sprint is really great to run a challenge for a certain period. Today I've spent almost the whole day setting up bunkers for SRbase challenge for all machines which compromised...
